A Path to Freedom
All of us have been in bondage in varying degrees because of the negative and hurtful things that have happened to us, especially as children, and the negative and sinful ways that we have responded, as well as the sinful things that we have done. Even as Christians we are still in some bondage after we are saved, so there is still work to be done. The question then becomes how do we get out of the bondage and into freedom.
Since God is love (I John 4:16), He tells us in His Word what to do; what our part is. How do we do that? We are to obey His commands. (I John 5:2-3) We got into bondage because of sin, either ours or someone else’s. But Jesus, by dying on the cross and taking the punishment for our sins, has provided a way for us to be free, not just saved, if we know what to do and are willing to do it. That will release the enemy’s hold on us, at least in that area.
Maybe negative things keep happening to you and you don't know why (or maybe you do), but you don't know what to do about them. Is there a way out? Yes there is, according to I Corinthians 10:13. I have seen so many bad circumstances turn around almost instantly after prayer, if it is the correct prayer.
Do you want to experience a more abundant and meaningful life, free from a lot of the problems that you are experiencing? Jesus came to set the captives free, to make us free indeed. (John 8:36) To become free we must cooperate with the Holy Spirit in doing our part, and the Bible tells us what our part is.
Welcome to a very important study of God's word.
